Supported Living
Supported Living Placements In Preparation For Transition Into Adulthood
At Connections 2 Independence, we provide high-quality supported living placements for young people aged 16 to 18. Each placement includes a comprehensive, tailored support package designed with one key goal in mind: independence, the very reason our organisation was founded.
Independence at the Heart of What We Do
Supporting young people on their journey to independence is our top priority. We do this through structured 1:1 support, regular house meetings, and engaging group workshops that help develop practical life skills, emotional resilience, and confidence.
Our young people are encouraged to:
- Communicate openly and effectively
- Build positive relationships with staff, peers, family, and friends
- Develop essential skills for adulthood and independent living
A Place to Call Home
young person environment thats reflects dignity, respect, & comfort.
We believe a young person’s environment should reflect dignity, respect, and comfort. That’s why we hold our housing to the highest standards. Our principle is simple:
If it’s not good enough for us, it’s not good enough for them.
Each home offers:
- A shared kitchen, bathroom, and living space
- Private bedrooms
- Outdoor communal areas
- A clean, safe, and supportive atmosphere
Young people are supported to take pride in their home and respect the space and privacy of others living with them.

Education, Training & Employment (ETE)
Preparing for the future is a central part of our programme.
Our support packages include a strong focus on education, training, and employment. To ensure success in these areas, we have a dedicated in-house ETE Worker who works closely with each young person to:

Education Opportunities
Explore educational opportunities

Work Placements
Identify suitable training or work placements

Employability Skills
Build employability skills and confidence
We believe every young person has potential, and we’re here to help them realise it.
